The tournament has been amazing so far, and probably my favourite in living memory, and i do believe this may have something to do with no home nation team to support! Ive been able to really appreciate the great football on show, without any bias! Notable points for me ; Turkey Vs. Germany, i must say i got into this match as much as i have any match involving England, the passion from the Turkish team was overhelming, and i was deeply dissapointed to see them just miss out on possibly beating the Germans. Player wise, as a Tottenham fan i hate to say it, but the proffesionalism, and performance from Fabregas, has been admirable. I think this tournament may actually become Arshavins downfall, he is a decent player, but i think far too much expectation has been placed on his shoulders. The performances, from Turkey, and Spain will be what i remember from this tournament. Hopefully a great final tomorrow night, to cap off a fantastic tournament! ...and hopefully Spain will beat the Germans!

Fantastic tournament. congratulations to both host nations. More than anything this tournament has pointed out the england teams wrong doings, picking players that the press want rather than a team of players. Aragones has shown this with the exclusion of both raul and guti who would be automaticly selected because of who they were as opossed to how they fitted into the team. Russia, croatia and turkey all proved that a well built team is more effective than eleven individual players. Come on cappello dont be scared to upset some big name player and pick the best team.

As an englishman i must say seeing Kazim Richards in this tournament was pleasing, i feel he showed how much he has improved since sheff utd and since being at fenerbache has learnt his trade very well. Obviously as an Arsenal fan it is natural to think Fabregas was player of tournament but i feel many others contended. Wesley Sneijder was brilliant against Italy and France. Arda Turan was another brilliant player. Michael Ballack of chelsea has been top class along with Luckas Podolski. Overall I think Fabregas has been best, and has showed young players that the bench is not the worst thing in the world, and Fabregas showed once again how much kids should look up to him. As for winning it, my heart says Spain, but my head says Germany.

It's been an amazing tournament, though I would have loved to have seen Spain play Italy with Guttuso and Pirlo playing. For me the outstanding player has to be Fabregas. He proves again and again that not only is he a great footballer, but he has a great attitude and has never complained about being on the bench. He does his talking on the pitch unlike a lot of other players. Spain has to play him from ther start.

great tournament, zhirkov of russia has been particullarly good to watch. pavlyuchenko was also awesome for russia. i also liked the look of ardo from turkey. A player which hasn't been mentioned much has been daniel guiza of spain. he's been influential when he's come off the bench and scored a great goal the other night. would like to see him come to england

Arshavin is over-rated. He has shown glimpses of quality, but I don't see how anyone can say he's been the player of the tournament. He missed the first 2 games due to suspension, had 2 good games, then didn't show up against Spain. He's 27 and no1 has ever heard of him 'yil now! Cesc Fabregas, although being a bench player for the entire tournament, has been the outstanding player. Surely he'll start the final.

I think Euro 2008 has been a great tournament. Obviously i would have prefered it if England had made it. Looking back to the qualifiers , people thought that England not qualifying from that group which included Russia and Croatia is not such a disaster now. The dutch impressed me most , especially Engelaar, Robben when he played, Sneijder and Van Der Vaart. Fabregas also had a good tournament as did Arshavin of Russia.

Euro 2008 was a joy to watch. I am amazed at the skills of the European players. I am very impressed with the team from Turkey. They were true "cardiac kids" pulling out victories at the very last heart-stopping moments! Fabergas was working his midfield magic once again. Kudos to the young Russian team. Italy and France looked like spent forces. Germans still omnipotent, althought their victories were not impressive. Thanks for the great show . The Austrians and the Swiss are to be congratulated for this fine show.

Euro 2008 has been a tremendous success both on and off the pitch. Congratulations to Austria and Switzerland for jointly organising such a tournament. The quality of football displayed by Spain, Russia and Netherlands in the group stages makes wish the tournament should go on for two more weeks!!! The Spaniards scintillating moves, deft first touch, and quick movement in the field disarms any team they play against. They deserve to win this year's tournament.

i have been very impressed with fabregas and he has prooven he can do it on every stage, while i will admit arshavin has played well i must admit his age asks a few questions and lets not forget this tournament can be easy deseive us into thinking certain players are good, i mean when looking back the tournament would make you believe milan baros is actually a good player

Forget single players, no one has really shone other than Arshavin, but even he's had alot of help from his Russian comrades! To be honest I think we need to look at team performances at this tournament not individual! Oranje we're as always amazing in the group stages and upheld by an "inferior" team, Spain have been ok, not the best however. Portugal we're like Holland and the man of the moment Cristiano Ronaldo was poor the whole tournament. Germany have also been little more than ok, lucky more than anything. The best teams this year have been the obvious Turkey and Russia. Turkey have played the best football, flowing passing moves, dead accurate passing, scoreing for fun at times, Kazim Kazim, Nihat, Mehmet Auralio have all been amazing. Russia's rise proves why England didn't deserved to be in the tournament, they've been fast, very counter attacking and with Arshavin, Pavliachenko, Zhirkov and Akinfeev they have been able to come up with great, very controling performances!!! Goal of the Tournament Podolski's 2nd V Poland Save of the Tournament, Casilles V Pavliachenko Game of the Tournament, Turkey V Germany or Czech Republic!

In my opinion these have been most entertaining international champonships that I can remember (I'm 29, so my first proper tournament was Italia 90). The football has been attacking, with an emphasis on flair, technique, and skill. The defences and particularly goalkeepers have been poor on the whole, but bad defences and goalkeepers make for great games. The absence of England has also increased my enjoyment of the tournament as there has been no crazy, biased and inaccurate media hype as a result. The players of the championships for me have been: Goalkeepers; Buffon, Casillas, Boruc. Defenders; Nobody really. Midfielders; Senna, Xavi, Fabregas, Semak, Altintop, Sneijder, Modric, Deco, Ballack, Schweinsteiger. Attackers; Villa, Torres, Guiza, Arshavin, Palyuchenko, Nihat. Outright player of the tournament for me would probably be Ballack, although he could be pipped following the final.

The tournament has been an intriguing and surprising watch and well-covered on this side of the pond. The unpredicted successes of Turkey and Russia, and the quarterfinal collapses of the group winners have made it memorable. The play has been as memorable for monumental gaffes by keepers, penalty kicks not given, teams' inability to hold the Turks down, and the changing of the generational guard that is clearly taking place. The players who stood out in WC 2006 are not (with the exception of Germany) the stars at this competition, and that promises a lot for WC 2010. As for the players who have sparkled, Arshavin of course, but what about Zhirkov and Pavlyuchenko? So much has been said of Arshavin. And, where Villa and Torres are getting so much credit for Spain, Silva and Senna seemed the most threatening against Italy. About that, Italy though cynical in defense, it must be said were taking on a superior Spanish side without Pirlo or Gattuso to organize the attack. And, you have to admit their defense was masterfully organized. While the beautiful game suffered, and in the end, has been vindicated by teams like Holland, Turkey, Russia, etc. it is okay to give credit to good defensive play.

I think the tournament has been amazing from an entertainment point of view. Turkey has brought new meaning to the term "last gasp winner" and we have seen some incredible displays from players such as Modric and Arshavin, who were more or less unknown (to me anyway). That is part of what I find so enjoyable about these tournaments, the fact that I can play "armchair scout'.

I think the Euros have been a great tournament to watch, some of the stand out players have been Arshavin from Russia and Cesc Fabregas from Spain, the low-lites have been the French and Italian teams. Its a pity that the Irish or any of the Brits are not there.

Euro 2008 has been a fantastic tournament. Really enjoyed the games. Especially the games involving Turkey. I really thought we were going to have another comeback in the last minutes against Germany last night. It's good being a neutral you can sit back and enjoy all the games. Hope Spain can do it against Russia tonight and Torres can score a few goals.

There have been a few classics and a few bores but I will stick my neck out and say that tonights semi between Russia and Spain will prove to be the best of the lot. Both teams are capable of playing very entertaining football and both have already in this tournament shown alot of attacking flair. If Russia had a Villa or Torres in their side I would fancy them strongly to prevail but without that natural finisher it promises to be very close. Good luck to both sides, they have both generally been honest without some of the pathetic diving and cheating antics of the Italians or Germans. My tip to lift the cup....a very deserving Russia....but only just

Hi. I am a sports fanatic. And believe sport is just that a sport and should be playued with passion. I take my hat off to the Turks. They play with passion the ' never say die attatude' The turks play the same as the international rugby players do. Did anybody see how the rugby players sang theire national anthems with so much passion atthe last rugby world cup, as well as current tests being played. The turks do the same. Can you imagine how they would have pushed Germany if they could have fielded a stronger side. Once again I salute Turkey. Well done guys.

The tournament has been fantastic and has largely been a triumph for those sides looking to play football rather than those only interested in playing a stifling game. Really glad Italy eventually got their comeuppance but would have liked to see Holland go further - they deserved it.
