Olympiakos full-back Christos will add a resourceful aspect to Greece's squad as he is also capable of operating in midfield.
Primarily used at right-back, Christos can also perform at the heart of a back four or in a wide or central midfield berth.
Christos was unfortunate to miss out on a place in the Greek squad in 2004 as he was in the middle of a lengthy recovery period following an Achilles tendon injury, which sidelined him for a total of three years.
It has been suggested Christos' best days are behind him, but the 29-year-old will be keen for a second chance for glory.
Theodoros Zagorakis' international retirement in 2007 is likely to offer Christos a greater opportunity for a first-team football.
